Here’s some of what’s ahead:

We’re meeting this Wednesday, Jan 9th in the library at 6:30.
Discussion: planning your writing year, preparing for the anthology, potential retreats

The poets will be meeting on Tuesday, Jan 15th at 6:30 in the library and the screenwriters/playwrights will be meeting on the 17th at the A&W at 6:30.

Member feedback sessions are starting up again. Writers helping writers build skills and prepare for publication.

Join SWC to improve your writing health!  A $20 annual membership creates writing inspiration, offers the opportunity to be published in our annual anthology and helps create a strong writing community in the Sooke region.

Our Mission

To provide support, connection, inspiration and encouragement to writers* at all levels of development in the Sooke region through membership services which include monthly meetings and community outreach in the form of student writing contests, workshops and readings.
