I’ve sometimes wondered why I write, but never as I am writing! In retrospect I am left with, ‘ because something, someone has inspired me to put something down.’ If, mayhap it addresses the motivation adequately, I am left with a feeling of satisfaction and comfort…a contentedness that seems to fill what I felt when so inspired.
It is not a driving, burning thing that I must put down, as some have described it, but a view/opinion that my observation has wrought, and once done, has served the above. I’m sure no serious writer feels what we, who merely dabble, feel.
