Student Awards

Today there was pizza and prizes for Edward Milne Community School students participating in our annual writing contest. Winners were awarded a copy of the anthology where their work has been published as well as a cash prize.

Sadly, with such a busy end-of-school year, not all the students were able to attend.  Next year the plan is to have the contest and award time earlier in the school year.

Contest results:

poetry prize:  Morganne Orchard for “April”

senior 1st place:  Makayla Scharf for “Curiosity Killed the Cat”

junior 1st place:  Kara Lebold for “Revenge Is Not Always Sweet”

junior 2nd place:    Jessica Thompson for “Fading Thoughts”

senior 2nd place:  Heidi Anderson for “Bread of  Scarborough”
