Jim Bottomley has been a member of the Sooke Writers’ Collective since 2016, and was a finalist for the Crime Writers of Canada Award of Excellence for best unpublished novel. A professional speaker talking future success, this is his first gig as a game show host.

Multiple-award-winning author Doni Eve is inspired by the people and places of southern Vancouver Island in the traditional territory of T'Sou-ke people. Her work is featured in twelve Sooke Writers’ Collective anthologies, the latest Writers Local 13 (Sooke Writers’ Collective, 2026) and two poetry chapbooks, as well as Reflex Press (2022 UK), Archetype Journal(2022 Toronto), Miramichi Flash (2022 NB), Subjectiv journal (2021 Portland, OR), and many others. D. Lambert has been dumping her overactive imagination into sword and sorcery-style fantasy novels and shorts for decades. Her first novel, “Dragon's Voice" released in 2019, followed by the “Weapons of Espar” series in 2020/2021. In 2021, she signed with 4Horsemen Publications for the high-fantasy series "Son of No Man," and continues to deliver high-stakes, immersive fantasy with real grit.  She is a staunch supporter of new authors and a firm believer in all things magical.
In her other life, Dee is a rainforest-loving veterinarian from Sooke, BC, living with her husband, two sons, and four demanding felines.

Lynda Moore works in research using storytelling to mobilize knowledge. She has a passion for writing and coaching multi-genre memoir, and she works with her husband creating short films for organizations that promote inclusion and positive collaboration in EDIJ. She holds a BFA in creative writing and film.

Whether writing or creating art, dl clay believes almost everything is a poem. Poetry has been Deb’s language for as long as she can remember. She thinks, writes and makes art in this mother tongue. She is currently reconfiguring her creative self and has several projects in development including a third self-published poetry chapbook. As a founder and coordinator of Sooke Writers’ Collective, Deb has instigated and been a part of thirteen anthologies as well as six poetry group chapbooks. She is thankful for the help and guidance of the SWC advisory board which all the presenters are a part of along with David Reichheld, Clare Winstanley, Linda Green Abraham and Nancy Davies.
