We celebrated the physical manifestation of our third anthology Sooke Types at the Reading Room Cafe on May 19th. The kick off was led by award winning poet Wendy Morton reading her poem “Equinox” from the anthology. Members Linda Green Abraham, Jenny Boklaschuk, dl clay, Tatjana Darling, AY Dorsey, Doni Eve, Rene Low, Paulina Pallot and newest member (a half hour old) Barry Whiting read from works in progress or anthology pieces.
The anthology is a combination of writing by members and the winning entries to our annual EMCS Student Writing Contest. For the last three years the winners have been published in our anthology and receive cash prizes.
